This is the question that a growing number of business leaders and Human Capital professionals are starting to ask themselves, with no definitive answer in site.
With these changes also come opportunities. Organizations that are able to innovate and adapt will gain a valuable competitive advantage over their competitors. A proactive approach to the changing world of work will provide a valuable opportunity for the Human Capital function to re-position its role in the organization.
Human Capital professionals will however find it increasingly difficult to deal with these challenges through traditional HR practices. They will be forced to develop their skills and knowledge in order to create an innovative and collaborative Human Capital function that can quickly and effectively adapt to changes.
Only time will tell if Human Capital profession will rise to the challenge.
